Welcome to the Bethany PTA
Zooming in for Another Year of Growth!

Hello Bethany Families!
It’s the start of the new school year. So far, it’s looking like a school year different than any other we’ve ever experienced, but we will get through, we will preserve, and we will THRIVE. In keeping with the school opening being 100% virtual learning for the first 4 weeks, the Bethany PTA theme this year is Zooming In for Another Year of Growth!
First, please join the PTA! If you have been a member in the past, membership resets every year on June 30th, so you’ll need to rejoin. The more members we have, the more advocacy we have with the school, the ISD, and ultimately the state! Plus, it helps us fund cool things like paying the yearly license for the Education Galaxy site the children use. If you need help navigating Membership Toolkit, I created a step by step guide for how to navigate the clunky website here:

Second, school supplies! The school supplies are scheduled to be delivered to campus on Monday, June 27th. Since only staff members are currently allowed on campus, and rules change seemingly daily, we’re still working out how school supply pick up will go. Expect further communication on this.
Now, we’ve gotten a few questions on school supplies, and refunds because of schooling virtually. Let me start off by saying that school supplies are sold at basically cost. We make zero to MAYBE a couple of dollars on the school supplies packs. We pride ourselves on keeping the cost low, and only buying the supplies that are ordered. Also, we’ve priced the supplies out before, and the cost is comparable to somebody shopping around for prices. Bonus, you don’t have the hassle of going to 5 different stores, especially for that one odd thing. Whether your family has chosen to School@Home or School in Person, children need supplies, especially if they will be returning to School in Person at some point in the school year. To this end, we will only consider refunds on school supplies if your family has chosen to withdraw from PISD or is considering School@Home for the entire school year. If this is you, please email me at president@bethanypta.org and we will discuss it.
Here’s a sneak peak at the shirt that will be available for pre-order at a special early bird price of $14 starting tomorrow (it would be tonight but MTK is being….hard to learn).
We are also in the process of ordering cute masks based on our t-shirt design. Come back tomorrow for a sneak peak of that.
Oh, please join us (socially distanced) for our Dining for Dollars event at Panda Express this Wednesday! You'll need to show them this flyer. Event is also listed on our Facebook page here.
